Terrible oily skin

I have terrible oily skin. I wash my face every morning and by the end of the day it is drenched in oil. It is awful. Please help! I have tried just about everything.

Sadly, there is no magic answer. I've been looking for one myself. I do find that cleansing with the Clarisonic skin brush and using products such as Clinique's Pore Refining Solutions Correcting Serum do provide quite a bit of help though in controlling my oil production.

Try Origins' Zero Oil line.  I used the cleanser and toner with Clinique Dramatically Different Gel while pregnant (my skin was virtually an oil slick within 20 minutes otherwise!)  It worked FANTASTIC.  When I'm pregnant again if my skin goes from dry to oily, I'll definitely be using that again.  It really helped a lot with keeping my skin in check for a large majority of the day and being able to wear makeup without it sliding off.  Most Macy's stores should have an Origins counter, and they're really good at giving you samples to try.

the secret to clear oil free skin is the cleanse well and exfoliate! I use Medi-morphosis™ Self-Adjusting Exfoliator

http://www.cosmedicine.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=26&products_id=42 it keeps pores from clogging and the oil will reduce. Also Sheshiedo oil blotting papers help thru the day.. i struggle too.. but you need a good cleanser that wont strip the oil from your skin.. which makes u produce more oil! i use http://us.clarins.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/beauty-products_cleansers---toners_gentle-foaming-cl... they have one for oily skin too... http://us.clarins.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/beauty-products_cleansers---toners_gentle-foaming-cl... doesnt stip ur skin.. and a good foundation and powder too.. i hope this helps..

I have been dealing with oily skin for years, and I want to caution you that you are not going to find a product that is going to keep your face oil free from morning til nite.  The nature of oily skin is that there is no permanent way to stop it from being oily.  That being said, you can look for products that are oil free, use a primer and carry blotting papers and a compact, possible the one by Urban Decay, and drink alot of water.  I will tell you you're not going to get many wrinkles!

I have oily skin, too, so I understand how frustrating it is.  You may want to try Clinique Acne Solutions Oil-Control Cleansing Mask.  Its medicated formula deeply cleans and unclogs pores while natural clay rids your skin of excess oil.  You can find it at:  http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P244701&categoryId=B70

In case you're also interested in makeup products that work great with oily skin, I am listing some information on makeup below:

The best products that I have found to help stop my extreme oiliness is to apply an oil-controlling face primer such as Make Up For Ever All Mat Foundation Primer which you can read more about at:  http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P169809&categoryId=B70   Another very good oil-controlling foundation primer is Givenchy Mister Mat Mattifying Foundation Primer which you can read all about at:  http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml;jsessionid=RBWSFQGW0KMH2CV0KSKBPIQ?id=P231022&categoryId=B70

Make Up For Ever's All Mat + Mattifying Foundation is a great foundation for oily skin.  It's a shine controlling, oil-free, water-resistant, complete coverage liquid foundation that you can read more about at:  http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P177117&categoryId=B70

You can also use MUFE's "Foundation Shade-Finder" to help you choose the correct color for your skin tone which you can find at:  http://sephora.com/browse/brand_hierarchy.jhtml?brandId=MAKE%20UP%20FOR%20EVER&contentId=C19212

Also, I would recommend setting your foundation with Urban Decay’s De-Slick Mattifying Foundation Powder which is a colorless, shine-controlling powder that comes in a handy mirrored compact so you can carry it with you for touchups throughout the day.  You can find it at:  http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P210592&categoryId=B70

I know getting all of the products at one time can be expensive, so if you can't get them all to start out with I'd get the primer first.  Then if that's not enough to stop your oiliness, you could add the powder, etc.

I hope this helps you.  🙂

Hi madisond2. Sometimes the result of alot of oil production may be from a lack of hydration either in your diet or from your skincare.
